Week of Feb. 8th - 11th

Please read the Town Center Parent Newsletter from Ms. Martin.

Family Writer's Workshop
The 4th grade teachers will be hosting a "Family Writer's Workshop" to inform parents of what the writing process looks like in 4th grade.  We will focus on the writing process from the brainstorming to the final product.  This is a great opportunity to see how your learner/s are working through the process, so you can help them at home if you would like.  If you are not able to attend the the live Zoom, we will send the link by email.

ALL Learners:
Please update iPads to 14.4: This update needs to be installed on your CISD device as soon as possible. To update your device, you can follow the step-by-step instructions here: http://ior.ad/7pQC

If it is not already on their iPad, please have learners download the STAAR app through the Manager app (type in "STAAR"). Learners do not need to do anything with this app at this time, but they will need it for the future.

Face to Face Learners:
With the charged iPad, we would like your learner to bring their charging cord to and from school each day just in case it is needed, their maskwater bottlesnack, lunch (if not buying) and supplies (if not already with us on campus). Your learner is more than welcome to bring their personal hand sanitizer from home if they would prefer.

Virtual Learners:
TCE Curbside will be on Wednesdays from 11:00-12:30pm in the Front Loop.

Free Lunch All Year
The Child Nutrition Department is happy to announce that free meals for all in-person elementary students and free bundle meals for virtual learners have been extended through the rest of the 2020-2021 school year. In-person learners are able to go through the cafeteria line as usual and will not be charged for meals (snack food and dessert such as ice cream are available for an additional cost). We are still asking that virtual learners sign up for bundle meals via the Bundle Meal Signup Form to help give us an accurate count each week.

Zoom Expectations

Below, you will find the expectations that we review regularly. Thank you so much for helping ensure that our learners are following expectations at home and at school.
  • Find a quiet place where you can focus.
  • Use your first name only when logging in.
  • Keep your sound on mute until you are called on.
  • Keep your screen on unless parents have notified teachers/admin otherwise.
  • Be on time for your Zoom meetings.
  • Be respectful to your classmates and teacher.

District Return to School Site
Coppell ISD continues to update their Return to School site. We recommend checking this site periodically for updates as well.

February Class Parties Rescheduled

Our campus has made the decision to move our second party of the year to May instead of the usual February Valentine's Day Party. While our staff will still do some type of activity for the holiday, we will not have our usual full party or exchange paper valentines. We look forward to planning the end of the year party with our room moms.
