Week of March 27th-31st

It's been another great week at TCE! Shout out to all of our learners who worked so hard on testing this week! Please see below for reminders and updates.
What are we learning?

In Reading, we explored paired passages. Learners compared and contrasted two texts in order to enrich their reading comprehension and experiences.

In Social Studies, we applied our knowledge of the Texas Revolution by creating acrostic poems and making personal connections.

In Math, learners applied their mathematical knowledge by creating their own adventures. Learners have been designing and creating their own word problems that are meaningful to them. They used a mix of operations such as multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, elapsed time, and free choice operations in order to tell a story about themselves.

In Science, the 4A/B rotation researched and discussed "Flip the Switch for Wildlife." They have been researching different ways that energy can reach our homes and the impact that it has on wildlife in our community. The 4 C/D/E rotation explored their impact learning ports.

Congratulations to our Citizens of the Year!
