Week of November 5th- 9th

Hello 4th Grade Town Center Families! Please see below for class updates and reminders:

PTO Meeting Updates:
The PTO is in need of volunteers for their various committees, including Green Team and Dad's club. If you are interested in volunteering please check out their website: https://towncenterpto.membershiptoolkit.com/

Also, if you are not receiving PTO e-mails please register your e-mail address on their site. Due to privacy reasons homeroom teachers cannot share your e-mail addresses with PTO, so in order to receive their messages you will need to sign up separately. You can do this through their site as well.

In Math, we will be continuing our fraction unit with beginning to look at adding and subtracting fractions and finding equivalent fractions.

In Science, we will be starting our next unit on Earth's resources next week.

In Reading and Language Arts, learners will publish their expository writing over a special person in their lives, and then we will begin a new expository topic. We will continue to learn on how to build deeper interpretations of fictional texts. Our spelling focus will be words that follow the i before e pattern, and our grammar focus will be using quotation marks.

In Social Studies, we will continue our unit on early Europeans and settlements in Texas. We will discuss the motivations and impact of Spanish and French explorers, as well as discuss Spanish Missions.
