Week of August 19th-23rd

Hello 4th Grade Town Center Families! Please see below for class updates and reminders:

Family Pictures
As a reminder, we would like for each fourth grader to bring in a picture of his/her family. You may send in a printed picture, or you may email a copy of a picture to your child's teacher.

Google Calendar
You may have noticed that we have a Google Calendar embedded at the top of this blog. We will keep this calendar updated with important dates throughout the year, so please be sure to check it whenever you visit our blog.

No School on Monday, September 2nd due to Labor Day!

Curriculum Night
Town Center Curriculum Night will be Thursday, August 29th from 6:30-7:30 PM in the cafeteria. During Curriculum Night, we will share a short presentation that will cover important curriculum details and procedures for the year. We would love it if you could be there! We will also share our presentations on this blog, so if you are unable to make it to Curriculum Night, we will still be able to share the information with you.

Picture day is Thursday, September 5th.

Book Fair begins Monday, September 9th and will go on all week!

Special Friends Day is Friday, September 13th. We will send out more information about a time frame for 4th grade.

In Math and Science, we will continue working on place value of numbers and matter. Learners will be starting a place value project.

In Reading and Writing, we will strengthen our identities as purposeful readers and writers.

In Social Studies, we will begin exploring the different regions of Texas.
