Valentine's Day Party
Fourth grade will be having our Valentine's Day Party on February 13th from 2:00-3:00pm in the classrooms. You are more than welcome to come and join our party! Learners will need to decorate their Valentine's boxes or bags at home. Learners can decorate their box or bag however they would like! Please make sure that their box or bag will fit inside of their cubby. If your learner decides to bring Valentines, they will need to bring one for every learner in the classroom. An email has been sent out for class lists. Also, any treats that come with the Valentines will need to be nut-free.
Fourth Grade Zoo Field Trip

In Language Arts, we will continue our unit on historical fiction by exploring our book clubs books. Learners will also start their book club projects to showcase their learning. We will learn about coordinating conjunctions in grammar and practice frequently misspelled words in spelling.
In Math, we are starting the second half of our fractions unit. We will focus on adding and subtracting fractions, finding equivalent fractions, and comparing and ordering fractions.
In Science, we will be diving into Unit 4: Earth's Resources with looking for examples of renewable and non-renewable resources around TCE and other worldly examples.
In TX History, we have began our exploration on Texas' journey to becoming its own state. Learners are building their own country using their schema and newly learned knowledge on what it takes to build a country.
