Week of March 6th-10th

Happy Spring Break everyone! We will be out of school March 13th-17th! Enjoy the time off and get some rest!

In Writing, we wrote an expository text over why every child should have a Spring Break. We also have been reviewing editing and revising rules.

In Math, learners worked on activities to interpret remainders. Moreover, learners are continuing to learn about long division and apply their knowledge using multi-step problems.

In Reading and Social Studies, we have been researching about the Texas Revolution. We learned about how conflicts between Texas and Mexico led to the Revolution. We also learned about the Battle of the Alamo and the Victory at San Jacinto.

In Science, learners continued talking about Earth's resources and the various ways we impact the world around us.

Writing STAAR Test
Our 4th graders will be taking the Writing STAAR test on Tuesday, March 28th. We have been preparing for this test, and we wanted to give a few reminders for this important day.

  • Please have your child eat a healthy breakfast so they can focus.
  • Your child will be provided with snacks. They may bring a water bottle.
  • Your child will need to bring books with them to read after the test.
  • There will be no tutoring the week of March 27th-March 31st.

Testing in the building
March 28th-31st there will be testing in the building. Due to state regulations, we cannot have any visitors in the building during testing. That also means that you cannot come to eat with your child in the cafeteria during this week. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!

Open House
Thank you to everyone who came out for Open House! We hope you enjoyed seeing your child's hard work this year!
