Reminder: YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW!
-It's that time of year to purchase a yearbook for your child. Yearbook cost was not part of the Trailpass this year, so the only way to purchase is through balfour.com at a cost of $25.
-You can also purchase an ad to appear in the yearbook to make this year extra special. -Optional ads come in multiple sizes ranging from $15-$120.
We sold out last couple of years, so don't miss out! Yearbook sales end January 18, 2019.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Volunteering Opportunities
If you are interested in supporting our school, volunteering with the PTO is a great way to do it. Our board president, Casey Conley, is currently looking for volunteers that would be willing to help out with our school garden, spring book fair, and spring fundraiser. Six Flags Read to Succeed
We sent home reading logs this week for the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program. These forms will be due February 19th, 2019. If your child completes six hours of reading, they will receive a free ticket to Six Flags!
*January 11th: Report cards will be sent home
*January 21st: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

Congratulations to our winners who were able to hold our elves, Jingle, Belle, and Candy Cane!
In Math, after the break we will be starting our multiplication of whole numbers unit. An important prerequisite skill to this unit is the fluency of multiplication facts from 0-12. Your learner has a Reflex Math account that she/he can access from home over the break to practice this skill. We have also been creating flashcards in school this week to take home and use over the break to review.
In Science, we will begin our weather unit after the break.
In Reading and Language Arts, we will begin our unit over nonfiction and informational text. We will also focus on expository writing.
In Social Studies, we will be beginning our unit over the Texas Revolution.
