Writer's Workshop Presentation

Yearbooks Sales
Our yearbook sales have officially begun! Our yearbooks are distributed in the spring and include class pictures, individual photos of each learner, and fun candid shots from the year. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please click on the link below. You can also purchase yearbook ads with the same link.

2019-2020 Creative Writing Competition
It's time for the 2019-2020 Creative Writing Competition sponsored by the Coppell Gifted Association. This will be the 12th year CGA has run this competition, and we'd love to have our 4th and 5th graders participate. Please see below for the link to register and important details.
Veteran's Day Ceremony- Monday, November 11th at 8:00 AM.
 Thanksgiving Break with No School November 25th-29th











In Writing, we will continue exploring our non-fiction writing. In grammar, we will be working on commas. The spelling rule this week is "double consonant CVC". 

In Reading, we will continue exploring non-fiction texts. Learners have been checking out nonfiction texts from the library and practicing the skills we learn in class. We will be organizing, editing, and revising our information books. 

In Math, we will be start our unit on division. We will take a division test on Monday and begin exploring the different strategies.

In Science, we will continue our Unit 2 about force, motion, and energy. The learners will explore the five types of energy through digital ports, energy and thermal stations.

In TX History, we will continue our Unit 2 about Europeans settlers in Texas. We will create a rhombus poem and advertisement to relate to the early explorers and settlers of Texas. Moreover, we will remember and honor our veterans and their service for our country.
